Andrew Learns to Walk!

Andrew learned how to walk while he was visiting us over the weekend! I was so excited that we got to witness this special milestone. I think he saw Brooklynn walking and decided that he would try it, too. He got SO good in just a couple of days! We're so proud of you, Andrew. And thanks for coming to visit while you learned. Or maybe you just wanted to learn at our apartment. :)

Brooklynn & Adeline

Even though Brooklynn and Andrew are only 10 days apart, there were a few moments this weekend when I was pretty sure it would be Adeline and Brooklynn who will be attached at the hip in the years to come. Brooklynn kept laughing at Adeline like she was the funnies thing. They were so cute together.

We made a fort that was SO much fun for all of us.

Brooklynn & Andrew

Andrew and Brooklynn were SO cute together. They played so nice together and were so cute most of the time. Occasionally they showed each other a little TOO much love. And I also like to call them "Double Trouble." They were into everything. And when one of them wasn't QUITE able to knock something over or get into an off-limits area, don't worry, the other one was right behind them, almost to say, "Here, let me help you there."

It was super fun.

Mostly we just had tons of fun hanging out and playing with the kids. Good times.

Fun at the Playland

We had a very rainy weekend. Like, it LITERALLY rained the entire weekend. One fun thing we did was go to Chick-Fil-A playland to play. Andrew and Brooklynn played a little, but were pretty tired. ADELINE, on the other hand, had a BLAST! She met a friend and was playing the entire time, running, laughing, smiling. She was so cute. I'm glad we got to get out of the house a little bit.

Special Visitors!

Last week I got a phone call from Josh's brother, James saying they were coming into town for the weekend, but I WASN'T ALLOWED TO TELL JOSH. They drove through the night Thursday and got to our place a little after Josh left for work. Then they slept for the morning and James and Adeline went to Josh's work to surprise him at lunchtime. He was able to get the rest of the day off on short notice and we had such a fun weekend playing, hanging out and getting very little sleep. I am EXHAUSTED today, but it was worth it.

*Watching Andrew learn how to walk
*Watching Brooklynn & Andrew play together
*Hearing Brooklynn laughing at Adeline and watching them play together
*Andrew shaking his head "No" whenever Brooklynn tried to give him kisses
*FINALLY finding the movie "Up In the Air" after 6 different tries. 1 Blockbuster trip, 5 Redbox sites, including 2 different reservations of the movie, one was out of order.
*Playing Euchre. I was the only person who didn't win. I blame my lack of sleep and my complete inability to play cards after midnight.
*And my FAVORITE highlight: Getting to see James, Charity, Adeline & Andrew without having to make the drive. Thanks so much for coming to visit! We can't wait to see you again in Florida!

"Hello, Andrew? I miss you, will you come visit me?"

"Well, my parents won't let me drive yet, but I'll see what I can do."

"Yay! You're coming out to see me? AND you get to stay for the whole weekend? I can't wait."

"Yay, pretty soon we will be playing together and it will be so great! Maybe you can even show me how to walk."
