Princess Shoes

Brooklynn got her first pair of dress up shoes, or according to Brooklynn, "Princess!" She wears them constantly. It is cute watching her tromp through the apartment. Very suddenly, she is OBSESSED with princess stuff. These shoes, and she points to the pictures of the princesses and says, "princess!" and she found all my Cinderella books and she carries them around and wants me to read them to her every single day. She also has started asking for "princess" when we ask her which video she wants to watch. (Cinderella)

Right now she is out with Josh at the mall and she insisted on wearing a Barbie (also princess, I guess?) night gown over her pants. 

Thank you for the shoes, Adeline! Brooklynn LOVES them, and they are the perfect addition to all of the other princess outfits that you gave her! You are so sweet!

new curtains

Brooklynn got her new curtains from Grandma and Grandpa Bean when they were out. They look super cute! Brooklynn kept banging her head on the wall trying to get these pictures; that is why she looks so grumpy. I think she liked them so much she kept trying to hug them and that is the reason for the head banging?

New Play-Doh Stuff!

Brooklynn got some new Play-Doh tools from Melissa & Rob for her birthday. She LOVES them. In fact, we've played with them several times a day since we got them. It keeps Brooklynn very busy. I couldn't believe they even managed to find a Cookie Monster! I didn't even know this exact toy existed but we love it.

Brooklynn got this adorable shirt from the Beer's family. Thank you!!! She looks adorable in it, even though she wouldn't really take a good picture in it.

Brooklynn's Bug-'em

Brooklynn got a birthday present in the mail from Aunt Erin! There was this little lady bug with all kinds of fun goodies inside and it was called a "Bug 'Em" I have no idea where she even found this, but I'm assuming it's supposed to be the thing Brooklynn keeps asking for. (A Bug-ah.) Go Aunt Erin!

She also got some really snuggly and cute Curious George footy pajamas. We need more footy pajamas to try and combat all the poop incidents we've been cleaning up.
Thanks, Aunt Erin! Brooklynn LOVED her present! (I think she ate all the gummy worms in one sitting.)

Dora Tag Jr. Book!

Brooklynn got a present in the mail today from Aunt Andi, Uncle Marc, Mia, Marisa and Myla! She ESPECIALLY loved the address label with the girl's picture on it. She loves her book and reads it all the time, already. Thank you!!!

Memory

Our friends Matt and Lana gave Brooklynn a Memory game they had. On Sunday she carried the bag with it around all over the place and kept putting other things in it. Today we broke it out and took several of the matches (we put most of them away because there are so MANY! It is HARD!) and laid them face-up for her to find matches. She is really good at it and she LOVES it. What a fun game!

Birthday Outfits

Brooklynn got two more outfits for her birthday! I finally put them on her to take pics. They are more springy so I haven't had a chance to really try them on her yet. My New Colts Outfit

Look how cute Brooklynn is in her new Colts outfit. She is so excited about it, and I'm really hoping it still fits next year. She had on two other shirts underneath when we tried it on so I think it probably will.

Toys R Us Gift Card

I got this peek-a-boo toy, some wooden blocks and some more Silly Town blocks with Brooklynn's Toys R Us gift card. Brooke had a lot of fun even being in that store, although we were both a little overwhelmed with so many fun things. We are very happy with our choices. Thank you, Andrea & Bob! What a fun surprise!

Birthday Silverware

30 years ago today Josh got some Sesame Street silverware for his first birthday. It was passed onto Brooklynn for her first birthday and she loves them! I think so far she likes what's on the spoon better, but in time...
What a special present! It will be well used and much loved! Thank you, Grandma & Grandpa Bean! (And a special "thank you" to Adeline for letting Grandma give them to Brooklynn. I know how much you love them. You can use them every time you come to my house.)

Fun New Books!

Brooklynn got 3 really fun books in the mail. That's Not my Dolly..., Buzz-Buzz Busy Bees, and Ten Tiny Tadpoles. Brooke probably likes the Tadpole one the best, the last page has ten frogs jump out at you. Actually now it has 5 frogs that jump out at you, Brooklynn keeps ripping their heads right out of the book. But she loves it, she only wants to look at that page. It's so cute. I have all the frogs to hopefully fix someday. Thank you, Grandma & Grandpa Ashley!

Color Book

Brooke got a book all about colors, actually the entire page lifts up for more pictures on each page. It's cool. It's one of Brooklynn's new favorite books. She also got another book called The Birthday Box which is about a boy who gets a box, and oh yeah, it has a present inside, too. It's so cute. Thank you, Danielle, Jeff & Jackson!

Brooke's Phone

Probably Brooke's favorite birthday present was this phone. It lights up, plays music, counts...she dragged it around the rest of her birthday. She LOVES it. Thank you, Seth!

Gift Card Buys!

Brooklynn got two Target gift cards for her birthday. We went after church on Sunday and got all these sweet toys! We got some fake food, a cool helicopter that lights up, it actually knows what color the balls are, I'm still amazed, a basketball bath time toy (which Josh might like even more than Brooklynn) and a soft picture book. Gift cards are fun. Thank you, Jim, Katie, Pat & Nicole!

New Bath Submarine

Brooklynn got a new bath Submarine. It is battery powered and it speeds through the water. It's actually one of the coolest bath toys we've ever seen, it goes pretty fast. We were all impressed. Thank you, Jim & Katie!

Ostrich Book

Brooklynn got a book about an Ostrich that learns how to read, AND a stuffed animal that is the star of the book. What a fun idea, I didn't even know you could buy those. Brooke loves it. Thank you, Jasmine, Brady, Sadie & Wyatt!

Peter Rabbit Book
