Trick or Treating

Our little Dr. Bean.

We always go over to Jeff & Emily's for Halloween because we never get any trick-or-treaters at our place. Then we rent a scary movie. This year we watched "Saw." It's a fun tradition. We'll see how many years it can last before our kids get too big. We might have to tweak it somehow. It's fun for now, though, especially when you only take your kids to a few houses.
Brooklynn did NOT want to go trick-or-treating. She was so scared of everyone, even too scared for candy. Once we gave her this lollipop, though, she was a pro and loved it.

We thought it was extra special that the two Doctors could pose together.

Happy Halloween!

DONUTS!

Grandpa and Daddy treated us to donuts on Sunday morning. Brooklynn was SO excited. I didn't quite capture her first reaction, but she immediately said, "Ooooooooooooooooh!!!!" and it was like she has been trying to tell me this whole time she wanted sprinkles and we finally got her order right.

And she ate every last sprinkle but no donut. I think next time I'll just make some frosting on a plate in a circle and just put sprinkles on that.

Playing Outside with Grandma & Grandpa

New Wagon!

Brooklynn got a new wagon and a huge box from her Grandma & Grandpa this weekend. She LOVES her wagon, and gets so excited whenever we see it. I have been wanting to get her one for a while now, and I'm very excited to finally have it! We will get TONS of use out of it. Thank you so much!
Look at this face: Can you tell she loves her new wagon?

In and out, in and out....good thing we waited until the next day to set it up. She would have been so mad to have to stop her game.
Josh wanted to set up all the quiet parts of the wagon.
Look, Mom, it even has a DOOR!
All done! Brooklynn is testing out her wagon for the first time.
And now she has to push the wagon.
Our first walk in the wagon!
Brooklynn was really excited to be able to bring two of her babies with her to the park.

Baby Aisle

Of course we HAD to stop at the baby aisle to visit all the babies (especially "Baby All Done")when we went to get the wagon. Brooklynn gets so excited to see so many babies. I'm so happy she doesn't throw any sort of fits when I make her put them all back when it's time to leave.
Josh thought it would be funny to put a helmet on her.

Texas Roadhouse

We decided to eat at Texas Roadhouse. Brooklynn was a champion restauranteer and we didn't have any problems at all with her. She stayed in her high chair the whole time, even ate some food and everything.

I'm not sure who loves rolls more, Brooklynn or Mommy.
Brooklynn loved my lemonade and stole my straw and then most of my ice. This kept her very very busy when she was finished eating.

A Weekend with Grandma & Grandpa Bean

Josh's parents came out for the weekend. We had so much fun and we were so grateful they could make the long trip to spend some time with us. They really just wanted to spend time with Brooklynn, and I don't blame them one bit. She LOVED all the attention. She even started to prefer Grandma over me at times. I didn't mind too much.
Brooklynn went with Josh to pick them up from the airport. There was tons of traffic so it took forever for them to get back. I was glad they had a little extra time with Brooklynn.

They did a lot of reading together, especially her and Grandma. Every 10 minutes or so Brooklynn would bring Grandma another book and just say, "read! read!" and Grandma would do just as Brooklynn ordered.
