Can she do it when the crib rail is up? Mine haven't even tried to do it yet, but they don't have any furniture next to their cribs (besides another crib). Plus, they wear sleepsacks, so they can't really use their feet to grip ... all part of my master plan, MWAHAHAHAA!
She can climb IN when it's up, actually she climbs in better when it's up than down. She's only climbed out once with it up. It's starting to make me nervous, though, because it'd be further for her to fall if she did it wrong. SO I'm trying to teach her the right way so she doesn't hurt herself. Also, lately my hip hurts too badly to take her in and out so physically I NEED her to be able to do it herself.
plus you'll soon need that crib for someone else, right??? all the more reason to start the transition to a big girl bed. we started our kids with their mattress on the floor (with the bed rail) so if they accidentally did fall out, they would not get hurt. kaylee's is still on the floor, in fact. good luck!!!!
