I finally broke down and gave Brooklynn a haircut...I was letting it grow out but the top was so ridiculously longer than the bottom layer. I just HAD to even it out. Plus it was starting to break and have split ends. Now she looks so cute and like a little girl, but she also has hair that it even. SO much better. It really was driving me nuts. Josh was hesitant about me cutting it but even he says that it looks better now. (By the way, for those of you who are wondering, yes, the final length is the same as the bottom layer started as...it just never grew that fast after she was born. If you look at the before shots, that is how different the top layer was from the bottom.)

Almost ALL of Brooke's hair (at least her longer hair...the bottom hasn't grown since her birth yet, for some reason?) goes up into pigtails now! I just can't believe it!

This happens to Brooke's hair whenever she sleeps. (This is partly due to her thrashing around all the time.)

Bed Head Competition

Brooke is adorable most of the time. Sometimes more than others it takes some work to make her look that cute. I have to comb through this mess every morning. I have tried to do everything to prevent it. Yes she's got tons of hair and she loves to dress it up...but it's still very fine hair and apparently it gets VERY tangly. Then when I comb it out it is very frizzy. It's a good thing I like to style and cut hair or else Brooke might have a shaved head by now. (Not really...I've only seriously contemplated it once or twice.)

Brooke woke up with exceptionally crazy hair Sunday morning. These pictures don't even do it justice.

Brooke is Getting Curls!

We knew it was just a matter of time...but it's so cute to see Brooke's curls (or waves) starting to come out. She has them when her hair is wet but it usually dries stick straight. Just recently it's been drying in a little "flip" at the bottom and today (maybe because I didn't have the air conditioning on?) it's looking pretty curly!
