Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day, Josh!

It is so fun to see Josh as a Father. I thought I loved him a lot before, now when I look at him holding our baby girl, interacting with her, rocking her, even just looking at her my heart melts all the more.

Brooke can't talk yet but I know if she could she would say something along the lines of, "I love you, Daddy. Thank you for always being there for me, you are the best Daddy in the whole world. Now lets go watch some basketball together."

I'm excited to watch you continue to grow as a father.

A Very Happy Reunion

I'm very glad we got to stay in Indiana longer than we planned. It was so great to spend some extra time with my parents. With that said, we sure missed Josh! Every night when I would read her bedtime story she would look around and not see him like, "Where is Daddy? What is wrong?" So while we would have loved to stay several more weeks in Indiana, we were anxious to get home to Josh. Boy was Brooke excited! (So was I, but it was even cuter to watch the two of them together).

Daddy Time!

Brooke LOVES her Daddy! I am especially grateful that Josh comes home for lunch to see her for a little bit during the day. It is so nice. He also watches her in the mornings so I can sleep for an extra hour. What a great Daddy! It's good bonding time for the two of them. Plus, it tires her out so by the time he leaves for work she is close to ready for her morning nap.

There is nothing cuter than her smile when I tell her that "Daddy will be home soon!" around 4:55. It is definitely a different smile than her other ones because she is SO excited to see him.

Brooke LOVES the weekends when Josh is home so much more than during the week. It's alway a little rough on Mondays and then she is like, "Hey, you were here all weekend and now you're gone again! I don't like that!" And then she will punish him by spitting up all over him...
