So ever since Gabby's colic has disappeared, Brooklynn has really stepped it up and has been SUCH a nicer girl to her. (HUGE SIGH OF RELIEF!) I think she was just annoyed with her crying and screaming this whole time. It's almost like she (along with the rest of us, lets be honest) is finally thinking, "OK, THIS is what I had in mind when you said I was getting a baby sister!"
She has been a huge help, loves to bring me diapers, pick out her outfits, she even helps click the buckle on her car seat. And she love playing with her. Luckily, Brooklynn thinks that Gabby's pulling of Brooklynn's hair is her way of playing back. (And it probably is.) And she loves it. She'll put her head right by her hand in the hopes that Gabby will pull it to make her say owe. And then laugh. Actually, every time she touches her ANYWHERE she will laugh and say the body part. "neck!" "elbow!" (You get the idea.)
In the first video Brooklynn is teaching Gabby how to roll. Gabby hasn't quite gotten the rolling thing yet. I think it's mainly because she hasn't had tons of time to practice yet since we hardly ever put her down her first three months.
In the second video Brooklynn is blowing on Gabby's belly. We're trying to get her to laugh for Brooklynn.
And the third video Gabby kept kicking Brooke and she thought this was hilarious. It was way cuter before I went to get the camera, but you still get the idea.

100 Days Old!
Gabby,
100 days ago you came into our lives in the middle of a snow storm. (An ice storm, actually.) And now it is in the mid-70's. And gorgeous.
Quite a lot has happened in those 100 days. I have this cool program that keeps track of all my pictures so I know this for a fact...I have taken 872 pictures of you. Actually more if you count all the ones I've deleted.
You started out the sweetest baby on earth. SO easy, so calm. Then we brought you home and you got jaundice. And then colic. Mommy and Daddy still loved you very much, but it was hard to live with you those first 3 months. Mostly we just wanted you to be happy! I'm glad you won't remember how sad you were those first three months. Occasionally you would be happy and smile and it would be the most beautiful, joyous thing EVER. Sometimes we let you have no diaper on and you loved that. Then you would be awake and not screaming. And sometimes we would let you be completely naked and then it was like we hit the jackpot. When it first got nice out this spring you actually had about an entire week of naked time and you were the happiest you had ever been in your entire life. Then it got a little colder and you got sad again.
Brooklynn went from kind of liking you, to not really caring about you (most of the time) but now she adores you. It is such a fun game for her to put her hair right near your hand so you will pull it. She actually loves it and laughs hysterically. What a weird sister you have. She loves you now and loves giving you kisses and holding you. She still hasn't figured out the best times to want to do these things, but she'll get there.
Gabby, you used to ONLY like to be held, or in the Moby Wrap. Now you like your bouncy seat and infant floor gym a lot, and have even ventured into your swing and the exersaucer! You also like tummy time now, too. And my favorite one? You are much better about going to bed at night. I love you but it is nice to have a break for an hour or two every night now. But then I usually miss you and can't wait to snuggle you all night.
You have had probably 4 colds already. It is no fun when a baby is sick. Your sister Brooklynn didn't get sick at all until she was 11 months old. I had no idea how sad and hard it was...especially when you can't do anything to help. I am very thankful for how healthy you are, though. You have thankfully only gotten colds and not anything serious.
Most significantly, you have blessed us and changed us forever. We are now a family of FOUR. I now have TWO amazing and beautiful daughters. I'm twice as busy and twice as tired but I love it more than twice as much. Gabby, I love being your Mommy. I'm so glad you are in my life.

Sunday School Answer
So you know how you're always supposed to say "Jesus" to every question in Sunday School? I'm pretty sure Brooklynn already knows that rule.

Ice Cream!
We had our first ice cream "out" of the season. Brooklynn loved it even more than I thought she would. I went with cookies & cream ice cream. I can't believe I haven't given her this before, it was made for people like Brooklynn that love both ice cream AND cookies so much.
Cece & Gabby
Cece finally got to hold Gabby. She LOVES her and is always giving her kisses and trying to touch her. Most of the time Gabby is sleeping or crying or eating so it's not a great time. Plus, I'm a little nervous to try and do this myself, especially when combating Brooklynn.
As you can see Cece was in complete heaven. It was almost as good as if Gabby was a puppy.
SO Big!
Gabby is getting really big. I'm not sure how big because we haven't weighed her recently, but she's already almost too big for all the 3-6 month old clothes. Am I surprised? Not really...she loves to eat. What a cutie. I just want to munch on those cheeks of hers.
no really...check out my rolls.
Only Brooklynn...
I have come to terms with the fact that Brooklynn is just plain DIRTY. I sigh several times a day looking at my apartment wondering if it will ever get picked up...even though I feel like that is all I do constantly, all day every day. I can't even watch her eat any more...it seriously makes my gag reflex go sometimes. And here is a little example of her outside play...
It started out pretty innocent. She wanted to push her baby stroller around outside. I thought, "Gee, that will keep her busy for quite a while. That is a GREAT idea."
I think she had a little bit too much fun. She played on her steps for a while, but then she found her beloved puddle that she HAS to tromp through every time she sees it. And today it was VERY muddy...and she did this repeatedly. I have decided to take the, "when you can't beat 'em, join 'em" strategy and I figure I let her have her fun, and then deal with the mess later. It's all I can do or I would go insane.
Here is the after...just look at my dirty princess.
Taking a bath in the pool is WAY more fun than the bathtub. (Yup, I even put soap in there.)
And although she doesn't get this dirty on a daily basis, it's usually pretty close. And even though she didn't get 100% clean in the pool, it was a lot easier for me and a lot more fun for her. And it was significantly better. And even though my house is usually a mess...I take great joy knowing that we get to do fun stuff like this.
Chasing Ants
Brooklynn's new thing is to say "touch" and hold her hand out. (when she wants to touch something.) I find it unbelievably cute. You can see it in this video of her wanting to touch this ant.
Brooklynn's New Bike
So the other day I took Brooklynn for a run with me. We passed a house with all this little kid stuff by the side of the road. I thought MAYBE she was putting it out with the trash so I went to ask. Sadly, she was SELLING it, not trashing it. BUT, the good news? We got this bike for only $3. I had to turn around, go home and then go back...and then carry the thing home along with Brooklynn in the jogging stroller at the same time. So it cramped up my hand a little. But now we have a bike. Brooklynn is SO EXCITED.
