Millions of Peaches

After we went peach picking, we had TONS of peaches. You might be wondering what I did with all of them. Some of them I ate, some of them Gabby ate, I made a bunch into baby food and stuck it in the freezer. But the rest....
I baked. (And this is only one batch out of many many many. I have no idea how many peaches I had.)
OK, seriously? Where have baked peaches been all my life. YUM.
You cut them in half, remove the pit, add a little water to the pan, bake 30 minutes at 350.
Then add a little butter, brown sugar and chopped pecans. It is like heaven in your mouth.
(Don't worry...I tried to control myself and only ate a few per batch like this. The baking them makes taking the skin off super easy and that is what I did for all my baby food.)

Brooke's Hair

Look how long Brooklynn's hair is getting. It usually curls up quite a bit, or it's up. After combing it out after her bath I could hardly believe it so I had to take a picture.

Brigintine Beach, NJ

What a perfect day at the beach!!! GREAT weather, GREAT friends, all the kids took naps on the beach, and I didn't get too badly burnt. Good waves, yummy food....Ahhhh...nothing but good memories.

Gabby ate so much sand. I kept waiting for her to quickly stop after tasting it the first time...nope. She loved it. She ate more sand than any ACTUAL food.

We ended the day eating at a restaurant with our friends. Brooklynn insisted on "sugar pizza" which they didn't have. I had to special order it, and they didn't have cinnamon, only cocoa powder and sugar....and it was really yummy.

Peach Picking

OK, this year we had to HIKE to get to the peaches. All the peaches were gone on the trees by the road and we had to walk all the way down. Let me tell you, 2 adults, 4 kids under 3 and a huge box of peaches?....not so easy a task.
Brooklynn was excited to be able to climb on the tree this year.

Gabby just loves the grass. This is her during our lunch. Oh yeah...I DID find several pieces of grass in her poopy diaper the next day.

Silly Gabby

We tried out Brooklynn's new baby game with Gabby. She LOVED it. Brooklynn was NOT amused.

Soccer

A few weeks ago we went to the park and there was a kid's soccer practice going on. Brooklynn started screaming, "SOCCER!!!! SOCCER!!!" Apparently...she a: knows what soccer even is. and b: must really like it.
So I decided to play it with her more often...ya know...for soccer practice.
She was so mad to not be able to wear her sandals outside, but I think she got over it. She LOVED it. I think soccer might be in her future.

Night Night, Babies

Saturday night Josh worked his valet job. And its always harder to put the girls down by myself. So I decided to make it more fun and play babies with Brooklynn before bed after putting Gabby down. WOW did she love this game. She made me put every single one of her babies in a swaddle blanket, and I had to rock each and every one of them, kiss them goodnight and put them in Gabby's pack & play. Also...sometimes they would wake up and I would have to rock them again. Or Brooklynn would...we took turns. What a fun game. I didn't realize this would turn into a DAILY thing.
Notice that they even all had to have a binky.
Brooklynn also INSISTED that she sleep on the floor next to her babies.
Meanwhile...Gabby was sound asleep in her crib.

Milk in a CUP?!?!?!?

So I decided to break out my cup from when I was a little girl and told Brooklynn about it and I told her it was a very special cup. And I also showed her a free twisty straw from Target and showed her how to blow bubbles in her milk. Josh was not too excited about this new trick, but you know what? She DRANK an entire cup of milk (yes, I even added chocolate to it) out of a CUP, not a bottle for the first time. FINALLY. So we were both thrilled about it.
Now she asks for her "special cup." It's pretty cute.
Also, she is back to napping again. I think it's directly related to her milk quantity.

Fountain of Youth Spray Park

I was talking to Josh about all our different water parks we've been to and realized HE had never been to any with us! So he's never gotten to see just HOW MUCH she loves it. So we went! Sadly, it was a little cold the day we went so she didn't want to get as wet, and she was being really shy. But she still had fun.
