Charity was SUCH a big help with this surprise, she even managed to get the day off of work for James so he could hang out with us.
We flew out Thursday night LATE, and Mom Bean drove with Grandpa Bean to the airport to pick us up. Then (at 11 pm) we headed to Muskegon (a three hour drive) and got there around 2 am. We snuck in, slept on beds that Charity had managed to even have set up for us and made, we were very impressed with how she kept it a surprise. Then early in the morning Josh brought Brooklynn upstairs and Charity went to get her, brought her in and asked James if he could watch Brooklynn, too. How fun!
So our trip didn't start out too good; we drove through a rainstorm which made us pretty nervous we would have delays.
Here is after we got out of the storm, look at the difference!
Right after we went through security we were standing in line to buy our dinner (a cold deli sandwich for Josh and I to split and a lunchables for Brooke=$20 total!) the airport power goes completely out. It stays out for about 10 seconds and then the generators kick in so you can see a little bit. We were very nervous we would be stuck here all night at this point.
Then we had to move to a different gate which really was no big deal since the airport had like 4 gates, total. We didn't have to walk very far. But since the power was out they had to board everyone with a seat number first, then hand-write in seat numbers for everyone else. I don't know why they didn't get on the Southwest train and let us just pick our own seats. We did have our seat numbers so we were the lucky ones who got to wait on the plane the entire time. Because of this we left about an hour late. (No joke.)

Here is the surprise footage! You can't see a thing, but you can kind of hear James and his reaction.
We had to wake up early because Adeline had preschool. While she was there we played and just hung out. Brooklynn was in toy wonderland exploring all of their toys and this actually continued the entire time we were there.
