Friday Josh came home early from work. :) It has been SUPER hot here, in the high 90's/low 100's. Here is Brooklynn sitting on our balcony eating one of our homemade popsicles. She LOVES them, although they are even more messy than normal popsicles. I want to eventually experiment with fun recipes that are actually healthy, too. Let me know if you have any good ones.
Our friends Dave and Kim had us up to their beach house on Saturday. What a good time. Brooklynn was in her element, as usual. A funny thing she kept doing was laying her head right on the sand like she was hugging it or trying to tell us that she was going to take her nap right "here". This beach had tons of huge clam shells that Brooke was really excited to collect. We brought back a TON.
Sunday we went to Wilson Farm Park again this year for the fireworks. Our friends Jeff, Emily & Cece joined us too! Good times. This year we got Brooklynn a snow cone. She loved it but kept spilling it all over me. It was freezing.
On Monday our friends Rob & Melissa had us over to their parent's house to go swimming. We were very excited, especially since it's been close to 100 degrees and we don't have our own pool anymore at the apartments. We really miss it. Either way, it was fun to see friends and have some fun in the sun! Thanks again for having us!
